My name is Amanda and I can get a little wordy. So, if you’re looking for a quick summary: I make things pretty.
Over the past decade I’ve been hustling to gain experience in Graphic Design, Photography, Event Coordination and Interior Styling. My favorite feeling in the world is the excitement I get when brainstorming a new project. Bouncing around ideas and creating mood boards gives me a creative high that I can’t stop pursuing. I find most projects to be like an experiment. The broad goal is the same each time: perfection in both form and function. The reason each ends in a new result is the variable of the client’s personality and lifestyle. Because of this, whether we’re working on branding your business, planning your dream wedding or designing your home, my main objective will always be to get to know you and why you gravitate toward the things you love.
In this corner of the internet you can find my heart and soul split into a few different categories.
Want to work together? Check out the links for Graphic Design, Events or Interiors to get more info and see examples of my past work. My hope is that nothing we do ever ends up being “cookie cutter”. Because of that, my pricing is mostly project based. I would love to hear more about what you’re looking for and provide a quote, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
If you’re here to see my home and keep up with my personal life- thank you! It means the world to me that you’re interested. My husband Dillon and I bought our first home in March of 2020 and it was love at first sight. We live in an 1872 Victorian and while she has a lot of character, she also needs a lot of work. We’re doing it all ourselves, and I would love for you to come along for the ride! On the blog, you’ll see me sharing our progress, future plans, and occasionally just some thoughts or updates on our personal life. I love sharing with this community of people who all seem to have one thing in common: we cherish our homes and the people that live in them.
Just a few more things about what you can expect from me personally if you’re interested in working together (or just being friends!). I would describe myself as midwestern-nice. “RBF” is not something that comes naturally to me, more like “resting smiling face”. If you bring up a conversation about redecorating, wedding planning or potential baby names I will sit and listen to you for hours and never, ever get bored. Cooking is a passion of mine that I keep completely to myself- I never hope to profit or pursue it professionally, but find it incredibly therapeutic. I can quote every episode of Schitt’s Creek and when I’m being dramatic my husband refers to me as “Moira”. I love the color yellow. I drink my coffee black. My idea of the perfect night is sitting with a few friends having long talks over wine- the darker and dryer, the better. My “sing in the house alone playlist” consists mostly of Amy Winehouse, Lady Gaga and Nina Simone. New Orleans is a place that feels strangely connected to my soul. Thai food is my food. I’m an Enneagram 4 and when I read the results I’ve never felt more understood. I strongly believe that thrifting isn’t just a hobby, it’s a lifestyle!
Whether you’re a potential client, a blog reader, an old friend, my mom (hi mom!) I’m so happy you’re here. Let’s get creative!
